Scouts and Scouters!
Heart to Heart Morgans is dedicated to bringing educational and enriching content to scouting programs of all ages for both boys and girls. Many of our staff members are long-time scouts and scouters that have earned their respective organizations' highest awards, including the GSA Gold Awards. We employ instructors and leaders certified by the Girl Scouts of America, and BSA-certified merit badge councilors. An outline of our activites for scouts are below.
Daisey and Brownies: The girls are welcome to come out to brush and ride the horses. There is no Try It for this, but each girl will receive a fun patch for the day's activities. Each session runs approximately 1.5 hours and costs $10 per rider.
Juniors: The girls have the opportunity to earn 2 badges on our farm: Horse Fan and Horse Rider. Each badge includes riding and classroom work. Sessions run approximately 3 hours per badge and cost $15 per rider. Badges are included.
Cadettes and Seniors: Older girls will have the opportunity to earn the Horse Sense badge. This badge includes both riding and classroom work. Sessions run approximately 4 hours and cost $20 per rider. Badges are included.
Boy Scouts: The boys can earn the Horsemanship merit badge here on our farm. In our sessions (approximately 4 hours) we will cover the required riding and classroom work. Sessions cost $20 per rider.
As part of our proactive safety initiative, all riders must wear appropriate apparel that includes long pants and boots. Helmets will be provided for use by the scouts. All participants in riding activities must present a valid, signed Release form prior to session start. A copy of this release form can be obtained here. (Adobe PDF format)
